The story of Samson and Priscilla - one orchestrated by God Himself. It all began one evening during Restoration Community Chapel's (RCC) choir rehearsal for their annual worship concert, Touching His Presence (THP) 2023. Priscilla, her friendly and welcoming self, saw Samson and his friend for the first time and walked over to say hi. That simple greeting was their very first meeting. Nothing blossomed then, especially because Priscilla had to travel for work and couldn’t attend the remaining rehearsals. Later that year, their paths crossed again at the church’s Joint Thanksgiving Service, where Samson approached her to say hi. Still, nothing significant came out of it at the time. Fast forward to the following year, 2024, Priscilla joined the choir to participate in the 25th Anniversary THP worship concert, and that was when the story truly began to unfold. Around that time, Samson suddenly decided he wanted to join the choreography team, partly as a strategic escape from singing some challenging local songs, especially a Ga song that had been giving him trouble. His friend, who happened to be one of Priscilla’s close friends, directed him to her since she was leading the choreography team. They exchanged contacts so she could send him the choreography video. After watching the routine and considering the long hours of practice required, Samson decided to stick to singing the challenging song. They continued talking casually, nothing serious, until the day God moved. Everything changed at that year’s Thanksgiving Service. The older generation was invited to pray for the younger ones. One of the church’s female elders walked up to the two of them on stage. She held their hands together and prayed over them simultaneously, unaware of whether they were friends or even knew each other. From that moment, something shifted, and they felt it. Samson had always enjoyed being around Priscilla, but had not realized how deeply he had fallen for her. Priscilla, on the other hand, had noticed his subtle advances but chose to stay quiet and observe. A few nights after that prayer, Samson did something unexpected. He scheduled a meeting with her. Yes, he booked an appointment with his future wife, and Priscilla was pleasantly surprised. What they thought would be a short conversation turned into three hours of deep connection. Then came another long talk, and another. Slowly and gently, they realized their feelings were mutual. Before entering anything official, they discussed their values, goals, personalities, and visions for the future, but only after confirming that they were both single. They prayed, reflected, spoke extensively, and sought God’s direction. Samson told Priscilla that he would not enter a relationship with her without her father’s blessing. That was exactly what he did, before sending her home to introduce her to his parents. He also asked God to confirm whether she was truly the woman prepared for him. God answered. In October 2024, Samson and Priscilla officially became a couple. Since then, they have been building a beautiful, godly, love-filled relationship with Christ at the centre. Day by day, their bond grows stronger, deeper, and more rooted in love. Every moment reflects God’s goodness, faithfulness, and perfect timing. Priscilla describes Samson as “her personal gift from God” while Samson describes her as “his answered prayer”. Their friendship has grown into something truly special; a safe, joyful space where the inner child in each of them feels free to come alive. Around each other, they laugh without restraint, dream without fear, and embrace their most authentic selves. They make room for each other’s weaknesses with grace and patience, while celebrating each other’s strengths. It is a friendship built on trust, openness, laughter, and grace - the kind of foundation that only grows deeper and more beautiful with time.
